It is a privilege to nominate Tory Keller for this award. Tory was the first practitioner who truly listened to me. Before meeting her, my husband and I had been struggling with infertility for years, and I often felt dismissed or brushed aside. From our very first appointment, Tory made it clear that my concerns mattered. She didn’t minimize my symptoms, my fears, or my instincts. Instead, she took me seriously, asked thoughtful questions, and immediately began helping us move toward the answers we had been so desperate to find. That level of validation, compassion, and attentiveness changed everything for us. What makes Tory extraordinary is not just her clinical expertise, but her presence. She brings her full, authentic self into every interaction. Her humor, her warmth, her groundedness. Even during the hardest parts of our journey, including two miscarriages, she found ways to make us laugh and feel at ease, without ever diminishing the gravity of what we were experiencing. I always felt safe with her. I felt prioritized. I felt like a human being who mattered. And when we finally became pregnant with our son, Tory celebrated every milestone with a joy that felt genuine and shared.

The morning we delivered our son, Tory and her medical assistant sent us a message through the UCHealth app, sending us love and congratulations. The team that helped us achieve our dream of building a family became part of our family. After delivery, my postpartum experience became more difficult than I expected. When Tory saw the concerning notes in my chart, she didn’t wait, hope they would improve, or push the issue off until my next appointment. She called me in to see her first thing the next morning. She cleared space first thing that morning, space I know she didn’t have, and sat with me for as long as I needed. Together, we built a plan for my mental health, and she treated my emotional well-being with the same urgency and care as any medical emergency. That appointment may have saved my life. I've never told her that. I have never felt more supported by a healthcare provider. Tory is one of a kind. Her commitment to her patients goes far beyond what is expected, or even required, and her ability to combine medical excellence with humor, humanity, and wholehearted presence is truly rare. She changed our lives in ways we could never repay, and I recommend her to everyone because I wish every person could experience a provider like her. She embodies everything this award is meant to honor: compassion, integrity, expertise, and an unwavering dedication to the people she serves.
