It is hard to put into words what Tovia has done for us as a leader. She has had roles here at St. Vincent’s ranging from staff RN to Manager, to Director, and now to Assistant Chief Nursing Officer.

She is consistently available for questions, no matter how busy she might be. She is approachable, and even if you have to tell her bad news or you didn't do something right, she always makes you feel it is okay to tell her. Her financial and math skills are enviable. I think everyone can agree that she knows everything about St. Vincent's. Her knowledge is immeasurable. When in doubt, ask Tovia!

She has the ability to understand your needs (or your unit) but also sees the big picture. She will help guide you in finding solutions to any problem. She trusts her team to do what is right. She does not micromanage yet holds her teams accountable. The feeling is much like that of a parent; you never want to disappoint, but you know if something goes wrong, she will help you fix it. We all truly enjoy working with her and believe St. Vincent's is a better place with her in it!
