We had a unique situation when we entered the labor and delivery unit. My daughter was in active labor and I had no idea she was even pregnant let alone in labor. She was terrified and scared, mostly because of the judgment. She informed the nurses she was not planning on keeping this baby which was heartbreaking to me. I understood and wanted to respect her decision but selfishly I was devastated. Tracey understood this was a difficult situation for my daughter and for me. She was a sheer joy every time she came in the room. She not only asked what she could do for my daughter but how I was doing as well. She was caring and comforting to my daughter from start to finish. I can tell that Tracey genuinely loves what she does each and every day and takes great pride in caring for others. She continued to encourage my daughter that she could get through this and she would be there for her. The subtle pat on the shoulder or "you've got this," is what got us through. She never had her own opinion on what should happen, she just listened. I'm happy to say that this little bundle of joy is at home and Mom and baby are doing wonderfully. Please recognize Tracey for her outstanding level of dedication and genuine display of care. She plays a big part in helping us all get through this. Thank you Tracey!
