Tracey built a bond with her patients, one in particular, I will never forget. This patient had his 79th birthday while being a patient with us. Tracey and some of the other nurses wanted to celebrate his birthday and threw him a little "party," with decorations and cake. Tracey even was able to get special permission from the doctor to have one glass of wine for his birthday. I believe that was one of his favorite gifts along with seeing his family outside his window. Tracey became a great advocate for this patient during end of life decisions and created a bond with the family.
