My first time as a patient was for the birth of my first child. After an already anxiety-filled pregnancy, I was scared of what was to come with labor and delivery. In walked my night time nurse, Tracey Perry. From the moment she walked in she was nothing but positive energy that radiated throughout the room. She made me feel as though I was her only patient even though the L&D floor was packed. Tracey took her time answering all of my questions and gave me reassurance when all I felt was fear. Her vast amount of knowledge amazed both me and my family. She made sure my pain was well controlled to the best of her ability and was a patient advocate to the fullest.

When it came time to push she coached me and encourage me through every single contraction. Her and my family’s support and encouragement gave me all the drive I needed to push through the pain to have my sweet boy! Tracey didn’t leave my side and let us see and help with the delivery of our baby which was the most amazing moment of our lives. She truly made my first hospital and birthing experience one to remember in a good way. She truly helped me make the whole experience a joyful, peaceful, and amazing time. One that my family and I will never forget.

Tracey is deserving of recognition. Her kindness and compassion were beyond any of the other amazing nurses. I can only hope everyone gets to experience a nurse like her during their hospital stay. She's amazing!
