May 2026 Honoree
Traci Gislason, MSN, RN
Traci has been instrumental in implementing the College of Nursing's new curriculum and provides a positive outlook and willingness to adapt to changes. She is approachable to both students and coworkers, with a friendly smile on her face.
She is understanding and flexible, especially if things do not go according to plan. She is always willing to adjust and do what is best for the students. She has mutual respect for them, and they genuinely enjoy learning from her.
Traci has a passion for rural healthcare and serving her rural community, and it is evident in the way she approaches this topic with enthusiasm. She brings her own expertise in this area to her lab, simulation, and clinical teaching in a way that inspires and motivates students.
She represents SDSU and the College of Nursing well with her positive attitude, kindness, and caring spirit, and I cannot think of a more fitting recipient of this award.
