Prior to giving birth to my daughter last September, I was diagnosed as preeclamptic. This was a very scary time as the delivery date for my baby was moved forward significantly and I was very nervous. I had to go into the labor and delivery department several times prior to my delivery to have my blood pressure taken and entered Traci. I was so scared, and I believe Traci saw that and took me under her wing. When I returned to the center multiple times for my blood pressure, she was there with a warm smile, reassurance, and even a warm hug. On the day of my delivery, seeing her made me feel so at ease. She made sure my room was prepared and cozy, and she really kept a motherly eye on me. I can’t stop thinking about how kind she was to me, my husband, and my future daughter in this difficult time. We think about her often and have even named one of my daughter’s dolls Traci. Thank you, Traci. I think about you often, and I’m so grateful that our paths crossed, even if it was for a very temporary time. Sutter and our community are very blessed to have a nurse like you.
