I honestly don't think I would have been able to deliver my baby girl (first child) without a C-section if not for Tracy. I had three hours to push before I would need to go to a C-section, and just make it after 2 hours, 45 minutes of pushing. It's difficult to describe the connection I felt with Tracy, but her confidence in the situation helped me know baby and I would get through it. Being a first-time mom, I had no idea how much the L&D nurses contributed to the delivery - I know that sounds silly, but the doctors seem to get all the credit. Tracy's passion and dedication gave me a whole new appreciation and perspective to just how vital it is to have a great L&D nurse. Tracy was a nurse, a coach, and motivator. I know she delivers so many babies and sees so many different faces and would probably not recognize me if she saw me in public, but I will never forget her and the work she did to help bring our baby into the world.
