I just felt very at ease during the whole process because of Tracy and that is important.
Due to COVID, you cannot have someone with you in prep. The second Tracy spoke to me I was put at ease. Tracy's friendly and compassionate demeanor made me feel comfortable and not alone. She spoke to me like we had known each other already and I felt like she listened to what I had to say. She also made sure I understood everything that was explained to me by the doctors that came to explain their part in my procedure. From the time I entered to the time I left for the procedure Tracy was with me and never made me feel ignored, unimportant, or alone. I just felt very at ease during the whole process because of Tracy and that is important. It may seem small to anyone reading this but with the changes in having someone you know with you not being allowed anymore it is critical for people to feel comfortable and confident in what is occurring with their health and well-being. It plays into how the patient goes into surgery and how they feel when leaving the facility. They are amazing and their demeanor never skipped a beat. I watched them interact with other patients as well and their interactions appeared genuine and natural. It was very much appreciated more than you know. They are in a job where their interaction is brief with the patients, however, their interaction was memorable and impactful in a very positive way.
