Tracy Hajek, RN

Tracy was the primary RN for an infant in the ER who tragically did not survive. When it was time to move this patient to the morgue, Tracy insisted that she carry him in her arms as a final act of love and respect toward this very young life. Our nurses witness so much every day and yet constantly demonstrate the art of nursing – that is, the human, caring, and personal side of nursing that cannot be taught in a classroom. Tracy deserves to be recognized for this act and all the other little things she does that often go unnoticed, but that make an immense difference to our patients.
