There have been difficulties with the community crisis system refusing to evaluate serious presentations at one of our jails. Tracy professionally and diligently stepped in and took point on handling multiple issues. Tracy set up multiple meetings and phone calls to assist in getting our patients the care they need. Because of Tracy's intervention and spending numerous hours communicating, patient care has improved. Although the community crisis system has been difficult to deal with, and unprofessional at times, Tracy practiced professionalism every step of the way. She persisted in holding them accountable to a higher standard of care. She demonstrated great compassion for her patients and wasn't willing to accept that "he/she is always like this" to justify a patient not getting needed evaluation and community safety planning.
