Tracy Pyka, RN, BSN

We had a very young cancer patient of 44 who died today in our ICU. Prior to the passing, their nurse Tracy Pyka took the time to take locks of the patient’s hair and her fingerprints on card stock to give to the patient’s 3 teenage children. I also witnessed a family member come out and give Tracy a long hug, thanking her for all of her compassionate care and her big heart. The immense support that she provided this family during a very difficult time was greatly appreciated. She is a phenomenal nurse who always goes above and beyond for her patients and team.
