My boyfriend, R, who is a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, and I were here to attend a group class on PTSD and Relationships when he had a severe panic attack. We had to sit down in the hallway and Tracy walked by and observed what was happening, and even though it was outside of her current job description, she stopped and offered compassion, support, and help to us in a very difficult situation.
She never passed us off to others either. She went with us to Mental Health Triage and with some bad past experiences, this made a huge difference for R.
Tracy has continued to be available to us and facilitated R getting the help that he needs, which can be difficult when dealing with bureaucracy. People like Tracy leave their mark on people's lives and that is a good thing. We will never forget her and her kind heart.
