The first thing about Tracy that made her an amazing nurse was her welcome. It was more like being welcomed into a friend's home than admitted to the hospital. She asked questions and listened with curiosity instead of for information. Her tone indicated interest in the person and not just filling in data. She gave a sense of hopeful energy and compassion when we were in the chaos of a severe diagnosis.
