... I am sure I cannot be the first person to tell you this but Tracy White is the friendliest, kindest and most compassionate nurse I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I want you to know that I hate going to the hospital, having surgery, etc. even though I have had nothing but positive experiences with Sanford. I won't have surgery unless Tracy is my nurse. I schedule my surgeries around her schedule because she is AWESOME! This past December I had Gastric Bypass surgery and that coupled with nerves caused me to get a Migraine prior to my surgery and feel quite sick (I vomited several times). Tracy was very calming and sympathetic which made me feel a little better. She kept checking on me, asking about medications that might help me. I cannot express how her attention and empathy made me feel safe. I found out that Tracy had called later that night to see how I was doing. Tracy goes that extra mile for patients and I felt the need to tell you. Tracy is one in a million. I adore her. Tracy turned a sick feeling that I had into a warm and happy memory that I will always cherish. A few days after my surgery I received a thank you note from Tracy. It absolutely made my day! Please pass on my gratitude to Tracy and the rest of the nursing staff in the Day Unit. They are fantastic. While I hope to not see them for a while, if I have to go for surgery again I know I will be in compassionate and professional hands.
