Trae demonstrates the characteristics of a compassionate, great nurse. I am grateful that my mom is in the good hands of an attentive nurse who would provide her with the physical and emotional care she requires.
Trae was my nurse several times during my stay and was always very kind and took time to answer all of my questions, some of which were not very good questions, but he didn't mind.  He was also very inspiring in terms of encouraging me to hit goals during my surgical recovery.

One time, I told him I had completed an unattended walk of 1.5 laps around the unit and he told me that was amazing and made a point of writing it on my whiteboard as a "personal best."  I was encouraged to beat my best, so on the next walk, I resolved to do two laps.  But then I actually saw him during my walk, and he was so cheerful saying, "Thatta boy! Keep it up!" that I ended up adding an additional lap.  That kind of positive spirit can mean a lot.

I ended up being in the hospital for an extended stay. Trae took care of me for five of those days. He was very kind, empathetic, personable, and professional. He made sure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Thank you, Trae, for your exemplary care!

Do you know how to tell when you are in the care of an exceptional nurse? It is when, even through a mask, you can see a smile and warmth shining through. That is who Trae Robinson is! … After undergoing a complicated surgery, my mom was embarrassed to be so “exposed” in front of a male nurse; however, Trae’s pleasant demeanor had a calming effect on her. Trae is the ideal person to have around patients since he can quiet their concerns and make them feel at ease. Trae demonstrates the characteristics of a compassionate, great nurse. I am grateful that my mom is in the good hands of an attentive nurse who would provide her with the physical and emotional care she requires. I believe he imparts similarly excellent and sympathetic care to all the patients in his care.

I had a bariatric surgery …needless to say, it has been one of the most difficult experiences of my life. I was feeling awful and second-guessing myself, then I met Trae. Trae was my nurse for the duration of my stay, and there just isn’t enough space to write about how wonderful and caring this person was. I barely would ring the bell, and Trae would be at my door so quickly (I swear there are two Traes). He stayed on top of my needs and provided world-class service in order to make my stay and experience a positive one. Trae was gentle, kind, professional and knowledgeable. But most of all, he was a cheerleader for my recovery. My experience at Penn has been exceptional and it’s because of nurses like Trae. He deserves some recognition for his services.

Trae exemplified his compassion by not only giving my wife a great suggestion for dinner, but he also took the time to escort her down and back up to the floor. During my first night, he properly introduced himself to not just me but my family as well. Trae made sure he explained everything he was doing before I even asked. As a medical professional myself, he was professional yet caring and friendly. My wife even stated in the morning, ‘I hope you have the same RN overnight as you had yesterday.’ She said that she also felt so much more comfortable leaving me at night knowing there is a nurse she can tell truly cares for his patients. We both appreciate the time spent with Trae
