While caring for a patient in hospice, the patient expressed a simple wish to have her nails painted, something she had been wanting for some time.
The following day, Jojo reached out to her leadership for guidance and permission to fulfill this thoughtful request. After receiving approval, Jojo took the time to paint her patient’s nails with colors she brought from home, offering comfort, dignity, and a sense of normalcy during a deeply vulnerable time.
This small but meaningful act brought great joy to the patient and exemplifies the true spirit of nursing, highlighting Jojo's exceptional compassion and dedication to her patients.
