He was patient with my father and was so caring. Travis was busy but always checked on my dad and the other patients with kindness and a smile.
As I “detest” being confined to a small room, with loss of privileges, et. al., I paced around the doorway as much as possible. It is from this that I provide these observations: It is not difficult to “notice” Travis. I immediately determined that he must be someone in authority. As such I found it interesting to watch his interactions with patients and coworkers.
Travis always seems to be intent on creating trust with patients and harmony between staff members. As one of Travis’ patients, I personally experienced his concern for my medical conditions, and it seems his ability to minimize patient discomforts and concerns. Travis' seemingly natural ability to turn a frown into a smile is a benefit to patients and staff alike.
Travis quickly recognized my discomforts in regard to my new health and welfare and my desire to remove myself from the unpleasant situation I was in - and, from my point of view, worked hard to help facilitate my “release from captivity” by closely monitoring EKG/ECHO availabilities. Many thanks, Travis!

My father is on many timed medications such as carbidopa levodopa and pancrelipase. Most nurses do not want to hear about his medications and the timing. When my father came to the second floor, it was very busy. In came a nurse named Travis Leslie, who had a big smile on his face. He changed my father (while I waited outside) and was so kind and friendly.
He got my father set up and came back later to go over his meds. I was completely surprised when Travis knew so much about the medications and timing. He was patient with my father and was so caring. Travis was busy but always checked on my dad and the other patients with kindness and a smile. I would see him walk down the hall with a huge smile. Travis loved what he was doing, and it showed in the care he gave my father. My dad said that he was a great nurse! My father and I have both been in and out of hospitals in AZ. Travis Leslie is the best nurse that I have ever encountered and it shows in the quality of his patient care. He is all about compassionate patient care. Bravo Travis!
