My Grandpa was in the hospital for his last few days. Trena showed amazing empathy and compassionate care. She was always very fast with his medicine to keep him comfortable, made sure he was turned every couple of hours to get him off his horrible pressure ulcers, and made sure we as the family did not need anything. She explained when he could have his medications and made him as comfortable as she could. She also treated him with respect and told him what she was doing and what she was giving him, even though he was not responsive.

I cannot thank her enough for the wonderful care she provided to him. She dressed his pressure ulcers with skill and cleanliness and tried to make sure they would not get any worse while he was here. She also explained the medications to him, even when he was unresponsive. She always explained what she was doing, how she was going to do it, and made sure we did not have any questions or concerns. She always had a warm smile as well. She was very courteous, respectful, and efficient with his care. She made sure the bed rails were up for safety and turned him to help prevent his pressure ulcers from worsening. She was an amazing nurse who deserves recognition for her compassionate care.
