Trena Septer works in the Emergency Department. The police report was that a 12 year old was coming in for a psych evaluation. Trena was able to discern the family issues involved and become an effective advocate for the child. “I felt I was witnessing a miracle for this 12 year old.” Trena could have easily passed this girl off into a psych facility; instead she listened and acted on this girl’s behalf. I was also impressed with Trena’s ability to deal with an unstable irate person who was making irrational demands.

On another occasion, a gentleman presented with a brain hemorrhage. When his daughter was contacted, Trena held the phone to the man’s ear so that his daughter could talk to him for perhaps the last time. A tear rolled down the man’s cheek.
