Trevor Byrd is a phenomenal nurse who has exemplary qualities as a new grad. He is often mentioned during leader rounds and two instances stood out. One patient said that Trevor was her nurse, and he spent a lot of time talking with her and making a connection. He took the time to sit down and learn about her life and the many tragedies that she has faced. After their conversation, Trevor asked the patient if he could pray for her to which she said yes. The patient states she has never had anyone pray for her like he did, and honestly, it touched her soul. Another patient stated that she was a widow and was telling Trevor all about her life and how she really didn’t have anyone anymore. After a long heartfelt conversation, Trevor asked her if he could help by cutting her grass when she was discharged. The patient states she has never encountered such an amazing young man such as Trevor.
