Trevor was my mom’s nurse for two days during her recent stay on 4 West. Mom was confused, and we ended up placing her in hospice. Trevor reminded my mom of her favorite grandchild, yes, she had a favorite, and she thought Trevor was her beloved grandson whom she misses greatly.

He went along with and brought her joy and peace while making sure the family was happy and felt well-informed and cared for as well. Trevor continued to check on us throughout his shift and was willing to adjust his schedule of meds to best meet mom’s needs, such as not waking her for meds and vitals, etc.

My mom did not sleep at night and struggled with increased confusion; finally, the last night we were here, Trevor put a sign on the door saying, “patient sleeping DO NOT DISTURB" from 11 pm to 7 am. Mom slept that last night and woke up feeling much better and less confused.
