triage advanced practice provider team

Three of our nurse practitioners have gone above and beyond in helping to care for a homeless pregnant patient with substance abuse, multiple medical and social issues. This has occurred as the patient has come through Winnie Palmer Triage as often as 1-2 times per week throughout her pregnancy, so it has been numerous, numerous visits. It got to the point where the patient would ask for them by name. Up to the end, they stayed after their shift for her delivery. They even helped get her some clothes and items for the baby, paying for these items with their own money, for the patient.
The kindness and compassion for all of their patients, especially this one, truly goes above and beyond. They have made an incredible difference in this patient's life.
