I was able to leave my dad’s side at night, feeling comfortable because she was there watching over him, for even the smallest of changes.
Tricia was my dad’s overnight nurse in the CICU after his 5-vessel CABG. Tricia was there for us starting night one after my dad’s surgery.
Tricia watched my dad like a hawk, picked up on several issues quickly, and her clinical expertise is better than some APRNs out there (I would know, because I am one)! She collaborated with his physicians, and because of the care she provided, my dad is recovering well. I was able to leave my dad’s side at night, feeling comfortable because she was there watching over him, for even the smallest of changes.
She took the time to listen to our concerns, never rushing us, so we felt heard and seen. She deserves this award and so much more!
