January 2019 Honoree
Tricia Crowley, BSN, RN
Last week, my son was seen in the Emergency Department for a seizure. He is deaf, blind, cognitively impaired, and was very scared. Tricia was his nurse and she was wonderful. She radiated a sense of calm confidence and quickly helped him understand what was happening. She also helped us, the parents, navigate the ED during a very busy, crowded time and figured out how to get neurology evaluations, prescriptions, etc. Her kindness and "can do" attitude transformed what was a frightening night into a strong reminder of why Boston Children's Hospital is the best hospital in the world and its nurses are superb. Tricia is wonderful.
Thank you, Tricia, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
