Tricia always provides excellent nursing care to her patients. Recently, thanks to her keen observation and quick intervention, a patient was spared a serious negative surgical outcome.
In Surgical Care Pavilion's Phase 2 Recovery, Tricia took care of my dear friend after she underwent reconstructive surgery. Prior to discharging her patient home, Tricia assessed the surgical site one last time and she observed a quickly developing hematoma. She immediately notified the surgeon who quickly brought the patient back to surgery to identify and control the bleeding.
A potentially dangerous situation was avoided because of Tricia's excellent skills and compassionate care, allaying her patient's fears with caring support and clear explanation of what was happening.
