Not only did Tricia do her job, she pulled me in and made me feel like her little brother. I get sick a lot, and I never, out of all the times I've been here, had a nurse work with a doctor as hard as Tricia did to find out exactly what's wrong with me. And then come and explain to me what is going on in a way I can understand it and explain what my treatment is going to be and used for. So not only did Tricia go above and beyond her job, she really made me feel more at home.
One of the things I love most about her was she took time out of her busy day to listen to all my crazy stories, my concerns, my questions, and if I would ask a question that she wasn't really sure of the answer, she would find out and let me know later.
We really clicked; we have been through a lot of the same things in our lives. Mercy has a very great nurse in Tricia and feel that it is good hearted great people like her is what makes people feel like a part of the Mercy family.
I know she has made me feel like part of the family, the whole staff really, but to me, my big sister Tricia went above and beyond, so that is why she deserves the DAISY Award.
