Trisha A Perry, RN

Over the past several weeks I have observed Lt Perry’s care and compassion for our AMS and dementia patients. She engages them in conversation and manages to get them to open up to her. There was one particular patient who was withdrawn and not very communicative with the staff until Lt Perry entered; he responded, agreed to take his medications, and allowed her to assist him with his ADLs. While she connects well with all patients, Lt Perry has a “knack” for those who need something “extraordinary”! Her floor name is “The Dementia Whisperer”.
