Every medication was explained, and she kept talking to my daughter so that she actually was able to smile and laugh instead of cry.
I brought my daughter into the ER for an allergic reaction. From the moment we walked into the ER lobby, the care was great. We were greeted with smiles and kind words. We were taken back to the exam room, and the great care continued. The doctor came in and was kind, then what my daughter called the super nice nurse came in. Trisha explained everything that was going on and talked to my daughter about what she was doing. My daughter has had many IVs in the past, and she stated that Trisha was the best ever. Every medication was explained, and she kept talking to my daughter so that she actually was able to smile and laugh instead of cry. It was at the end that she said, "This isn't my room", but that the ER works together, so she was glad she could help.
My daughter and I believe that Trisha was meant to be my daughter's nurse and turned what started off as a terrible, scary morning into a day that my daughter knew she would be OK. We felt like we were the only patients at that time, even though we could hear the ER getting busier. Every patient who comes in contact with Tricia is very lucky and blessed to have a nurse who truly cares about her job and her patients.
