May 2019 Honoree

After having my second C-section in three years, I was tired and somewhat scared, to be honest. Life seemed in my face and very real, and I believe Trisha could see that in me. While recovering after my second C-section, Trisha stayed with me for as long as I needed whenever I called on her. She entered the room with a smile on her face and warms words of encouragement. If I needed a break she would take my baby, no questions asked, and even bathe him for me. When my daughter visited me in the hospital, she remembered her name from her birth and made her feel so very welcome. She never once made me feel like a burden. She made me feel like an old friend, and I completely owe my sanity to her in those first few days of being a new mom of two. Her attitude and demeanor were kind and gentle, and I appreciate everything she did for me while at my stay in SHLH.
Thank you, Trisha, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
