To say Trista is a DIVERSE leader is an understatement. The commitment to ELEVATE HOPE- When thinking of the word elevate, the word "resilient" comes to mind. To ELEVATE, you must overcome gravity, overcome adversity, and truly strive to move forward. Trista exemplifies ALL of these characteristics.
For 17 years of service at this Hospital, this Leader has mirrored the Culture Commitments Atrium Health strives to accomplish. The commitment to IMPROVE HEALTH- the Leader’s career at this hospital encompasses a mindset of improving health. This Leader served as an inpatient nurse, clinical nurse supervisor, and administrative supervisor and currently serves as a nurse manager. All the years of allegiance, knowledge, and prosperity as this teammate’s career continues to grow is notable. This Leader manages multiple units and overlooks overflows to assist when the hospital is at full capacity. To say this Teammate is a DIVERSE leader is an understatement. The commitment to ELEVATE HOPE- When thinking of the word elevate, the word "resilient" comes to mind. To ELEVATE, you must overcome gravity, overcome adversity, and truly strive to move forward. This Leader exemplifies ALL of these characteristics. As a current manager, the Leader has grown not only individually but has also grown the TEAM. This Teammate is resilient to the pressures of a growing hospital that is everchanging with our community, and one who faces adversity with grace and overcomes challenges that are presented. Further, this Leader encourages employees to seek higher education opportunities. Currently, 9 team members are in school for their BSN, MSN, NP, and DNP degrees. WOW!! Talk about elevating. A leader who encourages such growth, not only as a hospital but as an individual, is beyond worthy of notice. The commitment to ADVANCE HEALING- While managing the Hospital and Center, this Leader has assisted in the process of the Center moving to an outpatient location. Assisted in brainstorming with the team members to find the BEST processes for this transition, and the BEST ways to keep our (dear to heart) patients and families comfortable during this time of change. Also, thoroughly communicated with families, physicians and staff, ways to help smooth this transition, not only for colleagues involved, but for our community. The DAISY Leader Award is about being the best nursing leader. Help me in recognizing this Leader -who is a much deserving leader in the Hospital!
