My son, who has autism, was brought into the ER due to having a panic attack and feeling like he might hurt himself. Tristan was so very kind to him. He went over and above to connect with him by finding topics that were meaningful to my son. My son was scared and crying. Tristan validated his feelings and helped him feel safe. He had been in multiple times to check on my son to alleviate any concerns he had. As a mother with a son with different abilities, I am incredibly grateful to have Tristan as my son's nurse because of his care and kind treatment shown to my son; it is going over and above, given the very delicate position my son is in. Nurses like Tristan, who see the patient as a person and treat them with dignity, kindness, and compassion, all while going over and beyond, not only help the patients but also help the family and the community and improve the quality of care within the hospital. Banner Estrella is very lucky to have Tristan as a nurse, and I am wholeheartedly thankful he is my son's nurse today!
