Tristan Brandmeyer 2, RN

I suffered a cardiac arrest in late November, and I came to Kaiser. I was miserable and mean to most of the staff helping me, unregrettably, until one night I was being nursed by Tristan. He came into my room, unwaveringly kind despite my misery. He made me forget how miserable I was through his gentleness and attentiveness, always sweet and chipper and effortlessly responding to even my most insane requests. I spent about six weeks at Kaiser, and I never felt more cared for or heard than during the nights when Tristan was my nurse. He not only gave me excellent medical care WITHOUT FAIL, but he handled my eccentric attitude and moodiness with the patience and care of an actual friend. I nominate him as he went above and beyond to help me heal during a hard process. No one deserves this award more.
