Troy is a newer nurse and is truly outstanding. I have received numerous comments on this nurse for his caring, positive attitude. I wanted to share with you this 'positive' email I received. Although this didn't come through the normal GWN "DAISY nomination" route, I would absolutely recognize him for a DAISY Award. He definitely is the face of SJMO and what we represent!

... I recently was admitted to 2G for 5 days following an appendectomy. I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the outstanding care I received from one of your staff during my stay, Troy Geier.
I am a Lieutenant and Paramedic with the Waterford Fire Department. I understand that as health care professionals we do not do the job expecting any thanks in return. I know that with staffing these days, nurses are overworked.
During my stay Troy never once gave me the impression that he was too busy or overworked. It was more than apparent that Troy genuinely enjoys being a nurse and it showed through his patient care. You are lucky to have such a great employee working on your floor.
Thank you to your staff for all their help.

...I recently had the "pleasure" of spending several days on 2G after some complications with a kidney stone. You can imagine the distress that being unexpectedly put out of commission placed on me. One of the nurses that attended to me was Troy Geier.
Despite what appeared to be a large patient load, Troy was efficient, polite, warm, professional and empathetic. If a stay for a kidney stone more painful than childbirth could have been a pleasure, Troy would have made it so. Thanks to his efforts, it was certainly less traumatic.
Troy's performance and attitude represented a dramatically high caliber of care. I come from a family of exceptional medical professionals and it is my opinion that Troy Geier is an exceptional Nurse.
