At 7:00 am you, the Angel of Loving Care, came to my bedside and saved my life. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! If I repeated thank you a million times it still would not be enough. The next day, doctors came to my bedside to inform me that I needed a life-preserving lung surgery the very next day.
With Dr. F doing the talking he painted a picture; being so weak I may not survive the surgery, and yet could, including the necessary details. I queried and if I chose not then what? Then you will have to be put into hospice care immediately and I’ll be back in two hours for your decision. My response was “go” and thank God it all was successful.
However, I owe my life to your nursing expertise and loving care both saved and restored my life. Prior to my surgery, you had previously cared for me, always with skill, a bubbly personality, and encouragement. You are the nurse who can light up a room and calm a patient. You make a patient’s hospitalization become a healing experience.
On the morning after the surgery, I had been unable to urinate for two days you sized up the situation and solved the problem. Discovering a remnant of the catheter you restored urination and saved my life for which I am eternally grateful. Thank you, Turkessa.
