I first met this nurse when I was here in October. I was reticent about getting IV medication and they took the time to give me an explanation of how many and how soon an oral medication would work versus an IV medication. They were concise and clear and made sure that I understood everything. It was important to be to be an educated patient and they took the time to make sure I was.

This time, I entered the hospital on Christmas, and as luck would have it, I had them as my nurse again. While I was unable to have anything to eat or drink, this nurse brought me a candy cane to make me smile. They listened wholeheartedly as I am sure I bored them with my many tales. They shared with me some of their favorite Christmas movies and their family tradition of making ice cream.

This nurse has an excellent bedside manner, and I truly believe they are a DAISY Nurse. They have made my heart happy numerous times and continues to do so even though I am discharging soon.

I could fill this paper with story after story of the positivity that I witnessed with his patients and peers. This nurse has an open heart and mind and truly deserves this award.

Thank you to this nurse for spreading your laughter and good cheer. You filled my gratitude tank when I needed it most. I will always think of you whenever I see candy canes.
