I work with Tyler Herron in the ER at MCGC. Tyler is an excellent nurse and always gives his patients outstanding care. He is personable, funny, sweet and has an excellent "bedside" manner. On this occasion, the patient was being seen for chest pain with a history of a-fib. The patient was ultimately admitted for observation to MCW.
I sit directly across from Bed 3 in the ER and I witnessed Tyler sitting next to the patient and really explaining the need for the admission and calming the patient's anxiety. He was sweet, kind, informative, and really listened to the patient and answered all and anything the patient asked. He has an easiness about him that makes you love him.
The patient was extremely pleasant and thanked Tyler when he was leaving via transport.He said, "Ya did good, bud! Thanks a lot!"
I thought that was such a sweet interaction and I had to nominate Tyler for this award. We are extremely lucky to have him as a nurse.
