Tyler, with his caring and constant positive attitude, empathy, and compassion came through and helped my kids make the situation bearable.
My 70-year-old husband of 38 years was admitted to the ICU for sepsis. Tyler was our nurse, and he took excellent care of my husband. Tyler, with his caring and constant positive attitude, empathy, and compassion came through and helped my kids make the situation bearable. He has such excellent communication skills that always was genuine and professional while having conversations with me and all the family.
Tyler made sure that he treated my husband with dignity and tenderness which was so touching to note and observe. Tyler wears many hats while on duty. He worked hard to ensure the needs of my husband and my kids. I watched him precept an intern (RN) on her first day as a nurse. He was patient and kind and managed her up to my husband and my family making sure that we were safe in her care. Tyler is often seen as "the nurse I want my family to be cared for" by his peers. He took time to make sure that we had all our questions answered along with making certain that we met with the physicians to understand all that was going on with my husband.
Tyler personified his profession as an ICU nurse. He constantly displayed the highest ethical standards and always worked with a smile. Tyler will never know the impact and difference he made not only for my husband but for our family as well. MVH is so fortunate to have a nurse like Tyler. Thank you for all you do.

My father was admitted to the MICU emergently and was extremely Ill. My entire family works in the field of medicine and is well aware of the state of healthcare these days with tight staffing and how very ill patients are. Tyler went above and beyond for not just my father with his care but my entire family. He was supportive and responsive, empathetic and heartfelt in his care for all of us which absolutely and truly makes a difference.
I am sure that other patients and families are so appreciative of Tyler and the gifts he brings as a nurse. We could not have had a better experience thanks to him and were extremely privileged to have Tyler as our nurse!
