Tyler Petrone, BSN, RN

Tyler Petrone went above and beyond, providing care to a difficult patient who was going through a hard time. What came in as a syncopal episode, Tyler recognized that there was something deeper going on. He demonstrated excellent communication, critical thinking, and collaboration with his peers.

The patient opened up to Tyler about some of his struggles. All of the patient’s concerns were not being addressed properly, and it didn’t sit well with Tyler. He spent his shift advocating for his patient and ultimately got him working with social work to address all of his needs. The patient later thanked Tyler for everything and apologized for the behaviors that he presented with.
