We are a very big, close Italian family who entered your hospital facing the fact that we were going to lose one of the hierarchies of our family. The unit as a whole was absolutely awesome, not only to our ‘Nana’ but also to our family. With this being said, we would like to recognize this nurse. This nurse took excellent care of our Nana; treating her with compassion and dignity. We knew our Nana was in good hands right from the start. This nurse took his time to explain the process as well as answering all questions. This nurse went above and beyond by not only making sure Nana was comfortable and cared for but also making sure the needs of our family were met. We were allowed many visitors to surround our Nana and at one time there were 18 of us packed into her room while our papa told stories about their life together. This meant the world to our Papa. This time together will be cherished and never forgotten. This nurse observed our family in pain, brought water and snacks, as well as many tissues…and we went through many!! Losing a family member, especially one as important as our Nana, was so difficult. But being treated with such compassion was immeasurable. We would like to thank this nurse and recognize him not only for his excellent nursing care for Nana but also for the utmost support he gave our family. As hard of a process as this was for us, it sure made it brighter having this nurse by our sides. Thank you, and much appreciation from our entire family!
