Whether caring for a patient after a STEMI, supporting a family through an unexpected intubation, or guiding loved ones during a prolonged ICU stay, Tyler consistently brought comfort and reassurance. One family member shared that despite a difficult prognosis, Tyler “made my whole family feel less worried,” while another described his calm demeanor as “a godsend.”

Tyler’s ability to communicate stood out in every nomination. He took time to explain complex situations thoroughly and with patience, often sitting at the bedside and ensuring both patients and families understood what was happening. One nomination emphasized that he explained “EVERYTHING that had just occurred,” and that it was not just what he said, but “the manner in which he delivered the information” that brought comfort.
