I experienced a high level of pain and was very fortunate that a nurse by the name of Tyra stayed by my side until my healthcare team was able to find a solution and a plan of care. After that episode, Tyra continued to check up on me to ensure my comfort and communicate my needs to my charge nurse. Her actions deserve special notice because although she had her own patients to care for, she still took the time to care for me that morning when it would have been easier to let me wait until my nurse returned from break. Thank you for showing me professional and compassionate care when I needed an advocate the most.
