May 2026 Honoree
Ursula Dabon, RN
When a family member faces acute illness, the first instinct is to seek help and hope for compassionate care. During a difficult time for my family, we experienced the challenges of hospitalization. While that experience was difficult, nothing can beat the experience that my family had with our very own VNA team.
My aunt was fortunate; from the very start, our nurse, Ursula, delivered an outstanding start of care that exemplified the VNA mission. Her skilled clinical knowledge, precise and organized approach, and clear guidance on available resources were exceptional. She provided thorough patient and family education, ensuring understanding at every step, and consistently demonstrated kindness, empathy, and respect.
As an employee of VNA, this experience made me incredibly proud to work alongside such compassionate and dedicated clinicians. It is especially meaningful to see the same high standard of care we strive to provide every day delivered so beautifully to our own family.
It is my honor to present this DAISY award to Ursula Dabon.
