Ursula exemplifies every aspect of nursing excellence. Ursula cares for her patients with kindness and expertise. She helps everyone on the unit when she is in charge, when she is resource, and when she is assigned patient care. She teaches classes when we have ortho education. She oversees our skin care programs, educates herself and shares new dressing techniques etc. She follows through with assessing how our unit is doing with skin care. She is a mentor, a resource and a friend to all. She is furthering her career by getting her masters. She does not even talk about her studies she just plugs herself into the needs of the unit. Somehow during all the chaos that a busy unit can create she stays patient, calm and organized. All this with an incurably sunny disposition and a sense of humor! She is supportive and patient. If you want reinforcement of my perception of this incredible woman, I suggest you ask ANY of her colleagues on SOI.
