Our daughter was admitted to the hospital and had Ursula Postell as one of her nurses. From the moment Ursula entered our daughter's room, we could sense that there was something special and unique about her. Ursula demonstrated what is called a person-centered approach. She did not look at our daughter through her diagnosis or symptoms but rather cared for the specific needs she had. Ursula recognized our daughter as needing not only relief from her physical ailments but addressed her mental and emotional needs as well. Ursula was very patient, beyond compassionate, and treated our daughter as if she was her own child. At one point my daughter said to me "you can leave Mom to go home and rest- I know Ursula got me". She was patient in explaining things to us and did not give us a sense of needing to rush out of the room.
