What impressed me most about Valerie was her excellence and patience in training a new nurse from the Philippines who was obviously struggling to learn the procedures and technology of this hospital. She treated her with such kindness, and I knew that transferred to her patients, including myself, at my most vulnerable. Her character shines through in her words and deeds. Always going the extra mile to answer my questions, provide comfort, and advocate for me.
