This nurse went above and beyond to care for two patients. 
1) She ensured a mildly confused and temperamental patient was safe. She also sat with the patient and gave him activities to do to ensure he was able to be calm while following commands. This was a critical help to allow this patient to stay in the hospital and receive a CABG. 
2) A patient was quickly declining and needed more critical care. She and another nurse acted as a dynamic duo to aid the patient from his critical state with pressure support meds, calling physicians to get orders, and advocating for the patient in his time of need. She also comforted the family and the patient. She even bought the patient a stuffed animal. On numerous occasions, she brings her patient's favorite foods, drinks, or soaps that she buys and brings to work to brighten their day.
