I have a port because my veins are so hard to get an IV in. I needed a special IV for an X-ray with contrast dye and Valencia understood how traumatized I was from past experiences. She spoke calmly and soothingly to me as she tried to get an IV in. When I expressed the pain was too severe she didn't force me to let her keep trying, she stopped immediately and talked to me about what I wanted done next. Her understanding meant the world to me and her comforting words showed how much she cares for her patients. What a blessing she is!
