Vali gave his own shoes to a patient that was homeless and in need of shoes when he was discharged. Dr. K was discharging a patient on the 3rd floor so he came down to the emergency department to see if we had any shoes or socks that we could give the patient. Charge nurse Vali surprised the patient anonymously with his own shoes when he heard that they were the same size. Vali is always trying to help people wherever and whenever he can.
