I would like to deeply recognize nurse Valentina Sepúlveda for her dedication, professionalism, and human quality in every one of the care interactions she has provided. My story has not been an easy one: in 2013, I suffered a very serious accident while working as a sailor. I fractured my knee, my leg, fell headfirst, and also fractured my cervical spine. Since then, I have lived with a condition of tetraplegia that requires constant and complex care.

For the past two years, Valentina has been the nurse in charge of my case, and since then, she has become a fundamental pillar not only in my treatment but also in my overall well-being. She visits me at home every month and has taken on, with commitment and warmth, the management of everything involved in my rehabilitation and follow-up process: coordinating medical appointments, exams, transportation, and much more.

Valentina not only performs her work with excellence but also with a closeness, empathy, and genuine concern that truly make a difference. She does not limit herself to completing tasks; she truly gets involved—accompanying me every step of the way and ensuring that everything I need is coordinated, well managed, and on time.

I want to sincerely thank her for her dedication, her humanity, and for making me feel supported and cared for during such a difficult process. Her vocation is evident in every gesture and detail. For me, she is much more than a health professional: she is an ally, a constant source of support, and a true DAISY nurse.
